So, it's received a lot of hype. A tablet offered for less than $200? That's more than half off the cheapest IPad available. So, what's the beef on this thing? It features a dual core processor, a 7" screen, and multi-touch capability. The available battery lasts approximately 8 hrs of constant use (comparable to the IPad). What's the downside? It doesn't feature a built-in camera or microphone, so for those broadcasting people, it's not for you.

Take a one player dungeon crawler, make it exclusive for PS3, and add multi-player online. You're left with with this game. I was very sceptical and excited all at the same time when I heard about this game before PSN went down. Imagine jumping on the game with no experience, you select single-player. After you get the ins and outs you're still hesitant about playing with experienced players. Have no fear, because once you're somewhat familiar with the game you can hop on and off online play with the exact same character. A multi-player hack and slash, yes it's been done before. A single player hack and slash made into a multi-player... it sounds kind of lame. However, Gameloft managed to do both with good quality.

I was pretty sceptical about purchasing this game, but for a very small sum I figured I would try it. I've already logged about 20 hours into this game and I still just want to hop on the multi-player to get more gear. Also, Gameloft seems to be putting quite a bit of effort into building this game. It's only been out a few months and already has two patches. Don't worry, it's not because the game is completely buggy. They are doing something that isn't common. Regenerating a single-player game into a multi-player game. When I say multi-player, I mean it. You can have up to four players running with you either locally or online... or both. If you have a buddy over, you can host a game including you and your friend while still allowing 2 other people from around the world to play. After all, the more people the better loot.

Do you remember the good old days of Gauntlet? If you put that game on steroids for 10 years, this is what you would have. Gameloft is known for porting older games into cell phones, but I think they have a real future with this game. Hopefully we'll see some Downloadable Content with this game to keep our mouths watering. I doubt they thought so many people would've already purchased this game. It's a must have if you have PSN for PS3.

Recommendation: If you have PSN, you need to buy this game. I would gladly pay twice as much as the download price.

PS3: Sid Meier's Civilization Revolution

I initially played Civilization on the PC a couple of years ago, which was pretty fun, but I never got into it wholeheartedly. I was looking for a game that was really just a time killer, and came upon this for the PS3. It's simple yet strategic in the controls and turn-based gameplay. This console version is actually a lot more intuitive than any PC-based versions I've played. The gibberish the characters speak is annoying and the multiplayer function doesn't work most of the time, but if you like boardgames period... it's a good buy. Keep in mind though, it's addicting!

PS3: Being Enslaved- Not to Bad

First off... the initial game play sucks. Obviously the developers thought the players could read, but had never played a PS3 game before. During the first couple of acts the basic tutorial gets boring, real fast. Once in the game, it's not to bad... hit-hit-kill with specified combo. You can upgrade your stats... shield, melee, etc. individually.

The Enslaved story is "alright", but leaves you with "Wait, What?"
